All below dates are from the DLS Infogram Calendar Template

August:

  • August 1st - Boat Excise File Received from Environmental Police.

  • August 10th - Deadline to appeal EQV (Equalized Valuations; even years only) to ATB (Appellate Tax Board).

  • August 10th - Deadline to appeal SOL (State Owned Land) valuations.

September:

  • September 15th - Prepare 2nd Quarter tax file with updated deed/ownership data.

  • September 15th - CP-1 (Community Preservation Form) report due in Gateway.

  • September 15th - DLS recommended best practice - Interim year adjustment communities recommended date to submit LA3 Sales Report and the LA15 Interim Year Adjustment Form.

October

  • October 15th - DLS recommended best practice - Interim year adjustment communities date to submit LA4 Classification Report and LA13 New Growth Report. Reminder: the LA4 Classification Report must be signed in Gateway by the majority of the Board of Assessors. The LA4 must be submitted prior to submitting the LA13.

November

  • November 1st - DLS recommended best practice- Date to hold Tax Classification Hearing. Reminder: Notice of the hearing must comply with the Open Meeting Law and any local charter, by-law or ordinance provisions.

December

  • December 1st - Chapter land classification application due date.

  • December 30th - Mail FOL (Forms of List), I&E (Income and Expense) and 3ABC reminders.

  • December 30th - Mail 121A Letters to State & Entities.

  • December 30th - Post and advertise FOL, I&E and form 3ABCs on community website.

  • December 30th - Deadline for collecting new growth for all NON-chapter 653 communities.
